BABY EXAMS

• •  0-6 months: brush the tongue when coated with a infant pre-toothbrush, deter any non-nutritive habits from forming
  • The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that the first Baby Check up dental visit should be between when first tooth erupts-1 year olD
  •  6-8 months: begin brushing teeth & limit sweetened items. Use a cold wash cloth or frozen (non-choking risk) items for teething discomfort *avoid analgesics, amber beads, benzocaine or other non-FDA, or non-ADA approved remedies*

CHILD EXAMS

• • As children transition from baby to adult teeth, it is key to know what and when to expect. We monitor the growth and status of teeth, gums and soft tissues.

TEEN EXAMS

• • Adolescents require preventative and maintenance care. Orthodontic needs and wisdom teeth will be discussed. Around the time when there are adult treatments needed we will assist with the transition to a general dentists office.

• •  Monitors for the progression or start of cavities and treats before they enlarge
  •  Recommends products and recall Cleanings that are tailored to your child
  •  Protects Teeth through the use of:
    •  Sealants when first adult molars are fully in to protect chewing surface
    •  Athletic Mouthguards for High Trauma Risk Activities (MMA, football, hockey, etc.)
    •  Saves any broken down teeth or cleans the infected areas
